What do you think the biggest challenges are currently facing the industry?
1. The acceleration of blandness in the age of AI AI has significantly driven speed and efficiency, but it has also allowed mediocrity and sameness to creep into industry work. When technology is used to replace human intelligence rather than amplify it, the industry risks converging on similar outputs, safe ideas, and templated strategies. The real challenge is preserving critical thinking, human creativity, and strategic judgment in an AI-assisted world.
2. Short-term performance focus at the expense of long-term brand building Today, the industry has an abundance of metrics to measure immediate results, which naturally pulls focus toward short-term tactics and performance optimization. What risks getting deprioritized is long-term brand building grounded in uniqueness and meaning. The challenge is to balance performance with sustained brand investment, ensuring brands are resilient, differentiated, and able to endure changing market conditions and moments of disruption.
